V. Race Course
(1) Challenge Group
1.The Race:Starting from Emeishan Sports Center → Guangming Avenue → South Section of Shengli Avenue → Xiuhu Avenue → Shanhu Road → Wenquan Avenue → Tianxia Mingshan → Jingqu Road → Baoguo Road → Ehong Road → Mutai Road → Xueya Village → Provincial Road S308 → Zhahe Village → WestRing Road (S308) → Old S103 → National Highway G245 → S103 → Cidu Avenue → Qingyi River Bridge → Lejia Avenue → Jia’e Avenue → G245 → Lexi Section of Le’e Road → Mingshan Square → Nanchen Street → Guangming Avenue → Emeishan Sports Center (Finish).
2. Race Distance: 100 kilometers
3.Total Elevation Gain: 1,060 meters. 
(2) Experience Group
1.The Ride:Starting from Emeishan Sports Center → Guangming Avenue → South Section of Shengli Avenue → Xiuhu Avenue → Shanhu Road → Wenquan Avenue → Tianxia Mingshan → Jingqu Road → Baoguo Road → Ehong Road → Mutai Road → Xueya Village → Provincial Road S308 → Zhahe Village → Xiuchuan Road → Xiuhu Avenue → South Section of Shengli Avenue → Guangming Avenue → Emeishan Sports Center (Finish).
2.Race Distance: 55 kilometers
3.Total Elevation Gain: 860 meters

VI. Eligibility
The event is open to healthy domestic and international cyclists and cycling enthusiasts who meet the requirements of these regulations.

VII. Race Categories and Participants
(1) The Race:2,000 participants
(2) The Ride:1,000 participants

VIII. Rankings and Awards
(1) Rankings
The top three male and female finishers in both The Race and The Ride will be awarded and invited to the official award ceremony.
(2) Jerseys of Honor
· Yellow Jersey — Awarded to the male and female champions of The Race and The Ride.
· Green Jersey — Awarded to the male and female Sprint Kings/Queens of The Race and The Ride.
· Polka Dot Jersey — Awarded to the male and female King/Queen of the Mountain of The Race and The Ride.
· White Jersey — Awarded to the Best Young Rider (male and female under 26 years old, not including age 26) of The Race and The Ride.
(3)Special Awards
· Entry slots for the 2026 L’Étape du Tour de France will be granted to the male and female champions of The Race.
(4)Finisher Rewards
All participants who complete the course within the time limit will receive a finisher pack, commemorative medal, and electronic certificate.

IX. Participation Requirements
(1) Age Requirement
Participants must be between 18 and 65 years old, born between November 27, 1960 and November 27, 2007.
(2) Qualification and Ability Requirements
1.Ineligible Participants:UCI- or CCA-registered professional cyclists, as well as retired professional or elite athletes within two years of retirement, are not eligible to register.
2.The Race:Participants must have completed at least one ride of 80 km or more with an average speed of no less than 15 km/h within six months prior to the event.
3.The Ride:Participants must have completed at least one ride of 50 km or more with an average speed of no less than 15 km/h within six months prior to the event.
4.Riding Skills:All participants must possess basic cycling experience and skills, including straight-line cruising, climbing and descending, group riding, cornering control, and stable braking, to handle various situations that may occur during group rides.
(3) Health and Medical Examination Requirements
1.All participants must confirm that they are in good health and free from any medical or psychological conditions that may be unsuitable for high-intensity or long-duration cycling events, including but not limited to heart disease, hypertension, myocardial infarction, or similar illnesses. Participants must remain sober and refrain from consuming any drinks, medications, or substances that could impair judgment or physical performance before and during the race.
2.All participants must stay informed about their physical condition and obtain a valid medical examination report issued within six months prior to the race by a Class II Grade A or higher hospital or a qualified medical institution. The report must include, at minimum, a resting ECG, blood pressure test, and cardiopulmonary function assessment.
(4) About Insurance
The Organizing Committee will provide accident insurance coverage for all participants during the event period. Participants are also advised to purchase additional personal accident insurance with higher coverage and broader protection according to their own needs.

X. Competition Regulations
(1) Rules of Competition:
The race will be conducted in accordance with the latest Cycling Competition Rules approved by the China Cycling Association.
(2)All participants are expected to uphold the spirit of “Friendship First, Competition Second”, strictly follow race regulations, and prioritize safety at all times. Participants must not engage in any risky or intentional behavior that could cause harm to themselves or others.
Malicious actions such as collisions, pushing, cutting off, or otherwise interfering with other riders are strictly prohibited. Depending on the severity of the violation, the Organizing Committee may impose penalties including warnings, ranking deductions, disqualification, or suspension.
All legal and financial responsibilities resulting from such misconduct shall be borne solely by the offender.
(3) Equipment and Bicycle Requirements:
Participants must bring their own clothing, equipment, and bicycles.
All race categories require the use of 700c standard drop-bar road bikes. Tires with tread patterns are permitted if the tire width does not exceed 45C. The use of time trial bikes, triathlon bikes, modified mountain bikes, fixed-gear bikes, or any bicycles equipped with non-human-powered auxiliary devices is strictly prohibited.
Participants must ensure that their bicycles are in good condition and meet all race requirements. All non-essential accessories that could pose safety risks—such as locks, baskets, kickstands, fenders, and front/rear racks—must be removed before the race.
The Organizing Committee and the hosting entities will not be held responsible for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from bicycle defects, poor maintenance, or improper use.
(4) Equipment and Safety Gear: All participants must wear a helmet and cycling apparel throughout the race. Depending on individual needs, riders are encouraged to use additional protective gear such as cycling gloves, windproof glasses, and knee guards. Water bottles must be securely mounted sports bottles; glass containers are strictly prohibited during the race. The use or carrying of photography, video, or communication devices during the race is not allowed.
(5) Check-in: Rider check-in will begin 70 minutes before the race start and close 10 minutes prior to the start.
(6) Cut-off Time:
The official finish line cut-off time for all categories is 14:00(Beijing Time).
(7) Start and Ranking Method
1.Start Method: Riders will start in waves, with each group departing under separate start signals.
2.Ranking Method: Rankings will be determined based on the order in which riders reach the Climb Point, Sprint Point, and Finish Line, which will also serve as the basis for the respective awards.

XI. Commissaires
The panel of commissaires will be jointly appointed by the China Cycling Association and the Sichuan Cycling Association. The composition of the officiating team and their duties will be carried out in accordance with the relevant competition regulations.

XII. Registration and Check-in
(1) Registration Period:
October 28 – November 16, 2025 (registration for each category will close once capacity is reached).
(2) Registration Method:
Participants may register via the official L’Étape WeChat account or through the official event website: www.letapeleshan.com.
(3) Registration Fees:
· The Race: RMB 529 per person
· The Ride: RMB 329 per person
(Fees include race entry, basic event services, on-site medical assistance, and finisher pack. Any items not specified are not included.)
(4) Check-in Dates: November 28–29, 2025
(5) Check-in Location: Emeishan Sports Center
(6) Packet Pick-up Location
November 26-27: 2025 L’Étape · Leshan Pop-up Store (Chengdu Poly Time)
November 28-29: Emeishan Sports Center (Carnival Main Venue)
(7) Important Notice: Impersonation or substitution of participants is strictly prohibited. Any violation will result in immediate disqualification.

The Organizing Committee reserves the right of final interpretation of these competition regulations.
